Our ancient Indian philosophy envisaged the concept of ‘Vasudev kutumbakam’ or ‘the world is one family’. The philosophy envisioned the world as a single whole. The education system then put significant emphasis on self-motivated growth and experimental learning techniques - a perfect potion for developing a free-thinking and conscious individual.
Drawing inspiration from this deeply rooted philosophy, for the past 39 years, Maa Anandmayee Memorial School has been working towards the achievement of its goal. Founded in 1985 by a visionary philanthropist Shri Ram Panjwani, this co-educational day cum residential school, affiliated with CBSE, is located in the tranquil village of Gohri Mafi, within the Rajaji National Park.
The prime purpose of setting up the co-educational Day cum Residential school was to meet the educational and social needs of the people displaced due to the impact of the Tehri Dam. Being the only institution in the vicinity, aiming to impart qualitative education, the school had a huge responsibility. The expectations of the parents and students were also sky-high.
True to their expectations, the relentless efforts of the school enabled these children to acquire knowledge and led them to become economically empowered. Over the last 39 years, we have helped over 6,000 students achieve remarkable professional achievement, resulting in higher living standards and economic independence in the surrounding areas.
